ADAC Car Seat Test Results (May 2020)

This year, as every spring, ADAC, TCS and their European partners tested 26 car seat models belonging to different weight and size classes in order to assess them in terms of securityof operation, ergonomics and pollutant content. In recent years, pollutant levels have often led to the devaluation of certain car seats. This year, however, crash test results for car seats are encouraging, since no model was rated as "insufficient" on this criterion. The Silver Cross Dream + Base Dream i-Sizea baby cosy suitable for a child from birth to 85 cm (up to around 15 months), is the only one to achieve a final score of "very good. A New Test Protocol

Car seats to avoid in crash tests

Certain models of car seat tested failed to convince both in terms of safety that operating costs. Two models in particular should be avoided. These are Osann Flux Plusa booster seat for children from 9 to 36 kg (9 months to approx. 12 years), which includes an increased risk of injury in the event of a head-on collision and a lack of stability in the vehicle.
