Therefore, you must choose the car seat of your child according to its size and no longer on the basis of weight, as was previously the case under regulation R44/04.

How to install a swivel car seat
For installing a car seat The preferred method is to use the isofix system, which allows the seat to be rotated. Although it is also possible to install the car seat using the safety belt, particularly for baby cosy seats, it should be pointed out that this method does not allow the seat to rotate. 360° rotation is only possible when the car seat is installed with a compatible isofix swivel base.
Installation with isofix and isofix base
- Place the Isofix base : Attach the isofix base to your vehicle's isofix anchorage points. Make sure the base is correctly locked.
- Attach the swivel car seat to the base: Place the seat on the base until it clicks into place. Check the indicators to confirm that the car seat is correctly installed.
Installation with seat belt
- Position the car seat : Place the car seat in the desired position on the car seat.
- Fitting the seat belt : Follow the belt guides marked on the car seat to ensure that the belt is correctly positioned.
- Secure the seat: Buckle the belt and then tighten it so that the car seat is stable and does not move.
