Characteristics of Britax Dualfix 2R

While Dualfix i-Size and Dualfix M i-Size, have been designed according to the new European regulation R129 (i-Size)based on the size of the children, the Dualfix 2 R is in line with the old European regulation R44/04, which classifies seats according to the weight of the child. Installing the Britax Römer Dualfix 2 R Car Seat

Installing the seat in the car with the ISOFIX system and the integrated base is quick and easy. To install the car seat, simply unfold the metal hooks to the maximum with a strap and then secure them between the seat and backrest of the rear seat. You then need to install the load strut which adjusts perfectly to the height of the vehicle's rear bench seat. From colour indicators on the side bolts and on the strut show you when the seat is correctly secured.

Le Dualfix 2 R has been designed so that the height and length of the harness can be easily adapted for newborns. As a result, the reducer for newborns is not included. However, despite its optimised harness, the Dualfix 2 R is not really a model adapted to the morphology of infants, who need extra support on the sides for greater comfort and safety. For use as soon as you leave the maternity ward, opt for the Britax reducer (sold separately) or go for a baby cosy.

Britax Dualfix 2 R Safety

Several elements of the seat play an active role in child safety. The child is secured in the seat with the straps of the five-point harness with large, comfortable neoprene chest pads.

The height of the headrest can be easily adjusted at the same time as the five-point harness. The headrest and straps have enough positions to adapt optimally to the child's size. until around the age of 4.
Thanks to several tilt positions, the Dualfix 2R can be adapted to the child's needs. This model has four rear-facing reclining positions but also four positions facing the road. In the rear-facing position, the seat is reclined more deeply for a more comfortable position for the little ones' nap.

The different Britax Dualfix models

Dualfix car seats are 360° swivelling car seats that make it easier to seat your child in the car. Despite having most of the features in common, this range of seats includes several versions that differ from each other in small details.

• Le Dualfix i-Size is a model that complies with the R129 (i-Size) regulation, which requires children to be in the rear-facing position until they are at least 15 months old. It is designed for children from birth to 105 cm and includes a removable insert for infants.
• Le Dualfix M i-Size is not suitable for infants, as it is designed for children from 61 to 105 cm (approx. 3 months to 4 years). Like its big brother, it also complies with R129 (i-Size) regulations.
• Le Dualfix 2 R is the successor to Dualfix, the original Britax back/road swivel car seat. Offered at a more attractive price, this model, designed for children from birth to 18 kg, does not benefit from all the latest innovations. Unlike other Dualfix models, it doesn't have a reducer for newborns (sold separately), an adjustable anti-rebound bar or a side protection system (SICT Inside).
• Le Dualfix 3 i-Size / Dualfix iSense are the latest models in the Dualifx range. They continue the success story of the Dualfix i-Size by adding a brand new removable rotating base, the Flex Base iSense.
