The many car seats rated<\/a> tests in recent years show that safety has made enormous progress<\/strong>. However, although car seats are safer, not all models are free from risk. potentially harmful substances<\/strong> for the very young. This is the second crash-test session of the year, following the one held last spring, independent European bodies (ADAC, \u00d6AMTC and TCS)<\/a> examined 20 child car seats<\/strong> belonging to different size and weight categories with the aim of assess their performance<\/strong> in terms of safety, ergonomics and comfort<\/strong> and of toxicity<\/strong>. Of the 20 models tested in this October 2018 session, 13 were rated \"good\" while 2 seats were rated \"satisfactory\". The last 5 models tested were judged \"insufficient\". due to excessively high levels of pollutants<\/strong> in the various coatings, despite good results in the other categories. On the other hand, no model<\/strong> received a final mark of 'very good'.<\/p>\n
